Local Entrepreneur, Selma Avdicevic, is part of Martha Stewart’s “The Sisterhood of Dreamers into Doers” Safe Horizon Shelter Event in NYC

On January 19, 2010, 40 women from around the U.S. who are part of the "Dreamers Into Doers" social networking group at will make a difference at one of the Safe Horizon shelters, a New York City’s and nation’s largest provider of residences for the victims of domestic violence. The goal of the event is to transform the residence into a place of hope, peace, and possibilities.

Each "Dreamer" will share her time, talents, and products at this event. Ms. Avdicevic will be donating some of her Woolly Boo® organic wool products. The goal is to inspire the women and children in the residence to follow their dreams and to take steps to make them a reality. Other participants in the group will donate their time, like interior designer Terry Grahl, the founder of Enchanted Makeovers, and one of the event organizers.

The official kick off event will be held at Martha Stewart Show Studios in New York City.
